Hello and welcome. Perhaps you are here because you are experiencing challenges, because you feel stuck, or because life has taken an unexpected turn. We all need someone to talk to from time to time to work through these moments so we can feel like we are moving forward. Feeling understood is something we all deserve. In counselling with me, you will feel safe, heard, valued, and fully supported in your process.
About me and my practice
It can be so frustrating when you have the sense that something is holding you back, or when you feel yourself getting tied up in knots by your own thoughts. When your mental health isn't where you would like it to be, it can make life feel heavy. There are infinite reasons why a person might feel that way. Sometimes you know why, and sometimes you dontand thats okay, because counselling is often all about exploring those very reasons. It's about making time for yourself to be present, and sitting with someone who holds no judgment about what you are sharing.
I will support you to talk through difficult experiences, explore your relationships, and think about your life and what you need. I can offer strategies to combat stress, depression, and anxiety. If you are neurodivergentor think you might bewe can explore this together. If you have experienced a loss, I can give you the safe space to just be yourself.
I am a mum of three: one grown, one still growing, and one with four legs! Counselling was a vocational calling for mea qualification moulded by my own experiences of being human, from the heartache, loss, and illness to the joy and wonder of it. I am passionate about my work, which is founded on an ardent belief that we can all find ways to live well alongside our mental health.
My friends describe me as warm and supportive with a good sense of humour, and I bring that into my work because I believe its important that you feel you are working with a real person. I want counselling to feel as comfortable and safe as having a cosy cuppa with a friend.
